Under the East River, horse drawn cars speed through the subway tunnels. Under the East River, we see a small opening and there is all this water pouring in from an undisclosed tsunami. And it handles us, the pressure, our times, rolling through a future of brain scans and wireless refuse. We search for a hand, a pulse below the muck, pulling us through the tunnels, this long meadow. Songs, soundscapes that trick-shot a thousand broken daguerreotypes in a kind of animated walk, a kind mare who knows how good the sun feels on its back. Abiding by a simple choice, to love you across all that bleakness of the 20th century with a gliding smile. Aren't you gulping for air, too?
