"Beginning in 2007 I became enamored by the work of percussionist Sean Meehan and began to explore the possibility of sound made using only one cracked Zildjian cymbal I had recently salvaged, played using various 'extended' techniques. Over the course of three years I made a handful of recordings, performed live in solo and group settings, and released 3 small editions on CD-R and cassette, the first of which is archived here. Spray-painted silver, the CDs were meant to evoke old film reel cases. Working at the library at the time, old library cards seemed like fine identifying ephemera. Minimalist. Punk. Noise.
